Design philosophy
For three centuries, hands have swept across a fixed dial. North turns the principle inside out — the dial itself moves, and time is read at a single, silent point.
Function
The fixed index is the entire interface. The eye returns to one point, every time, and the mechanism arranges itself beneath it.
Calm
The discs turn too slowly to notice. Wearing North Watch is closer to observing an instrument than consulting a device.

- The indexA slim red baton, machined into the bezel at twelve. It never moves — it is the watch's true north.
- The hourThe outer disc, radially brushed anthracite, rotates until the present hour rests beneath the index.
- The minuteThe inner disc turns on its own axis, one step lower in the case. Hour above, minute below. Nothing else.

Movement concept
Geared for discs,
not hands.
A precision movement, re-engineered so its final gears drive two balanced discs instead of a pair of hands. The rotation is continuous and perfectly silent; the discs are weighted so the watch sits as calmly on the wrist as it reads. A mechanical edition follows the first production run.

Is time harder to read this way?
No — it is one glance at one point. The current hour and minute always rest beneath the fixed index. Most wearers read it fluently within a day, and faster than hands soon after.
Is the movement mechanical or quartz?
The first series uses a precision quartz movement re-geared to drive the discs — thin, exact and reliable. A mechanical edition is planned for a later series.
How is the time set without hands?
With the crown, as on any watch. Pull it out and the discs rotate together until your time rests beneath the index; push it home and the movement takes over.
Will it stand up to daily wear?
Yes. Sapphire crystal, a 316L steel case and 5 ATM water resistance make rain, hand-washing and everyday knocks no concern. It is not a dive watch.
